Lincoln Park Needlepoint Shop Closet Organization Makeover

Nestled in the heart of Lincoln Park, I had the pleasure of organizing the closet at Third Coast Stitches, Chicago’s new needlepoint shop.

In August, Kathryn and Mackenzie opened the boutique to offer locals and travelers alike a wide variety of trendy hand-painted canvases, fibers, stitching accessories, finishing services, and more. Not local to Chicago? No problem! You can shop their site here.

TCS hosts beginner classes, special events, and Sip and Stitch nights in the shop. So, the only closet serves as a stock room, office supplies center, stocked bar, and finished canvases storage space.

What the closet lacks in square footage, it makes up for in height. Keep scrolling to see how I used that to my advantage!

Matching bins with labels now make it easy for the gals to find what they need and keep the shelves mess-free.

Above the shelving unit on the right wall, the @needlepoint_dudes helped hang this curtain rod.

We maximized canvas storage space with four-layer hangers. These are great because they can be adjusted to fit the specific canvas, and the rubber-coated clips protect from creasing.
