Mamma Mia Themed 25th Birthday Party
Inspired by Mamma Mia’s breezy summer sea vibes, upbeat music, and disco sparkles, guests were transported to a Mediterranean island for my quarter-century birthday bash!
Invitations
Paper invitations (over a Facebook invite or text) were important to set the tone and excitement for guests! And for less than $25, no-brainer! To create the invitation, I watercolored the pink bougainvillea flowers and window. Then, designed the invite on Canva and printed it through Staples.
Entrance & Tablescape
To enter the party, the guest walked up a balloon-lined driveway and under an 8’ arch made out of PVC pipe.
For dinner, I wanted everyone to feel like they were at an intimate dinner party. The tables were decorated using this blue and white striped fabric, old placemats as a runner, and thrifted candle holders filled with citronella candles to ward off any bugs.
Food & Drinks
When I think of Greece, I imagine white buildings with bright blue accents. I DIYed the doors using bright blue paint, these flowers, a thrifted brass door knocker, and tiles found on clearance at Michaels. The cups were also on clearance, and I purchased these adorable reusable glitter straws.
For dinner, we made veggie and fruit platters and catered in Pita Inn. One of my best friends made the cake and another brought Sweet Shot Cookies.

Disco Dance Floor
After dinner, birthday cake, and ouzo shots, the party headed to the basement disco. Guests grabbed glow sticks and microphones, then danced the night away!
